Venessa Kaembe Jasho is a seasoned Community Health and Development practitioner with a robust background in grassroots mobilisation and public service. She holds a Diploma in Community Development from Pwani University, and current pursue BSc in Community Health at Kenya Methodist University. Her academic foundation is further complemented by leadership training from the YALI Regional Leadership Centre East Africa at Kenyatta University. As the Co-founder of the Mnarani Creek Conservation Youth Initiative and a Community Development Officer under the Kilifi County Government, Venessa has extensive experience strengthening livelihoods, environmental stewardship, and youth empowerment initiatives.
Her professional journey includes impactful contributions to the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Kenya, and the Gender and Social Services Department. In her role as the National & Regional Coordination Consultant, Venessa serves as the critical "connective tissue" between grassroots networks and national orchestration. She is responsible for operationalising the Collaborative Approach’s decentralised leadership model, acting as the primary point of contact for the National Secretariat and Youth Strategy Groups. Her work ensures that the lived experiences of youth from ASAL regions, informal settlements, and refugee communities directly inform the firm’s inclusive 2030 strategy and systemic interventions.
